Rebecca Wayne AP, Acupuncture Physician
Founder and Clinical Director
Rebecca is a licensed Acupuncture Physician in the state of Florida, and is certified with the National Board of Acupuncture. She is a specialist in fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care, women's health, holistic pediatrics and mental-emotional health using an integrative approach to healing.
Originally from Connecticut, Rebecca grew up in a family surrounded by hard working and successful teachers and MD’s. Her creative and courageous spirit sent her off the beaten path to find her true service to the world.
She spent several years as a teacher’s assistant in a classroom with low-functioning children, and was a piano and voice teacher. With her warm and gentle nature, she was particularly gifted at working with small children.
Years later, she found great fulfillment working on a 10-acre biodynamic and organic CSA farm, where she learned about wildcrafting herbs, making herbal blends, and the benefits of eating locally grown seasonal fruits, veggies and dairy. On the farm, Rebecca also found herself rescuing and nursing back to health several cats and kittens found on the property who were malnourished and ailing in some way.
These experiences led Rebecca to the realization that she was a healer, and this naturally led her to pursue her degree in Chinese Medicine and specialize working with women and children.
Rebecca’s purpose is to empower women, mothers, and families with the knowledge and tools to take charge of their own health and wellness.
Rebecca has a team-oriented approach with her patients. She endeavors to meet each of them where they are at on their unique healing journey, with awareness that the body knows how to heal itself.
Her mission is to support her patients to reawaken to their own highly intelligent and perfect healing mechanism that often has been covered over.
Rebecca earned her B.A. in Psychology at Southern Connecticut State University, and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, with a focus on Music Therapy.
She then went on to earn her B.A. in Health Sciences and Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, at the nationally and regionally accredited Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine (DRCOM) in Gainesville, Florida.
It was here that she had the honor and privilege of studying under world-renowned Psychiatrist and Acupuncture Physician, Dr. Leon Hammer, M.D.
She learned the art of Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis and Contemporary Oriental Medicine including Herbal Medicine, Nutritional Therapy, Western Medical studies and over 800 hours of clinical training.
Rebecca has completed extensive post-graduate studies in fertility, pediatrics, perinatal and postpartum care. Complementing her studies, Rebecca completed her Transformative Coach training from Satvatove Institute, which emphasizes a communication-based approach to self-realization and personal growth.
Rebecca loves to express her heart through music and movement. She finds healing in 5-Rhythm Dance and singing kirtan and soul music. She is also a mama of two joyful and energetic little boys and loves spending time with her husband and children at the springs.
